Entry 2

April 12, 2012|Steps to Success
Home » LLABlogs » Steps to Success » Entry 2

Since the last time we’ve posted I talked to Mr. Portillo to see if we can use his room for our project. He said we can use his room in our   last development class everyday except for Tuesdays. We also sent a letter to The Morning Call to see if they would kindly give us any extra coupons they had. Yamilka’s mom, who works for The Morning Call, is now sending us the newspaper on behalf of The Morning Call. Then we talked to Mrs. Figueroa about starting our project. She said we can but we  need to let Ms. Marisol and Ms. Emmert know. Ms. Marisol will announce the starting of our project and Ms. Emmert will contact the parents. The reason why we need to contact students parents is because in our program we will have a parent workshop where the students show their parents what they’ve learned and be able to bond and communicate. Now we have to outline what we’re going to teach the students and test it out with our Junior Seminar class. So as you can see we’ve made a lot of progress since our last update. All we have to do is do a demonstration with our teachers and we can start our program.
